Point Cloud

Imports one or more point clouds into the scene. The supported file formats are XYZ, TXT, LAS, and PTS.

For a description of different offset types, visit the related article on opening point clouds.

We strongly advise using File > Open Point Cloud(s) to bring point cloud data into the scene.

Mesh

Imports one or more OBJ mesh files into the scene.

The Offset dropdown menu will be populated with the point clouds in the scene. Choose a point cloud to apply its offset vector to the imported mesh.

CAD

Imports one or more DXF CAD files into the scene. NUBIGON Pro supports Line, Polyline (2D & 3D), Arc, Circle, Insert (block reference) entities.

NUBIGON Pro’s default working units are meters. Change the unit of your drawing to meters in third-party software before importing it into NUBIGON Pro.

Offset: The dropdown menu will be populated with the point clouds in the scene. Choose a point cloud to apply its offset vector to the imported CAD drawing.

Import as reference: DXF files can be imported as reference layers, which allows high-performance rendering of a large number of CAD objects. DXF files above 10 megabytes are automatically imported with this option.

Many operations (e.g., cloning, snapping, etc.) are not supported on reference layers.

Watch the video below that demonstrates the usage of the Offset dropdown menu to import referenced CAD and mesh models.
