You can render your camera animation to a video or image sequence. In this article we show you how to customize your render video settings.
This section allows you to select the format of the render output and select from a list of common presets. The supported formats are:
- WEBM video
- PNG image sequence
- BMP image sequence
- TIFF image sequence
- JPEG image sequence
Basic Video Settings
Here you can configure the resolution of the output video or image sequence.
Bitrate is the amount of data in a video signal measured in bits per second. Generally speaking, higher bitrates produce better quality videos, but also large files.
Bitrate encoding specifies the encoding method to use:
- VBR, 1 pass (Variable Bit Rate): VBR dynamically adjusts bitrate based on the complexity of the video signal while trying to reach the specified target bitrate (measured in megabits per second) on average.
- CQ (Constant Quality): The user specifies a quality value, and the encoder allocates bits as needed to achieve the given quality. This ensures a constant perceptual quality throughout. The disadvantage of this encoding method is that the average bitrate (and hence file size) will not be known in advance. It takes trial and error to reach a certain average bitrate.

Point Count Settings
VRAM usage [GB]: This parameter controls the number of points rendered in each frame. Increase the value to render more points.
Tiles: Using more than a single tile will reduce the perception of point loading in the render output. Beware that this is a beta feature. Increasing the tile count will lead to significantly higher computation times. You can achieve the same effect by just increasing the VRAM usage.
